๐น๐ผ ๐ซ๐ท Welcoming a delegation from National Dong Hwa University
A high-level delegation from National Dong Hwa University (NDHU, Taiwan) visited Polytech Lille on April 23rd, 2026, as part of a broader visit to the University of Lille. The visit provided a forum for exploring cooperation opportunities between the two institutions, including student exchanges, joint research projects, and double degree programmes.
The delegation comprised:
- Dr. Hui-Mi Hsu, President of NDHU
- Dr. Chung-Shan Shih, Vice President of NDHU
- Dr. Ming-Chien Su, Dean of International Affairs of NDHU
The visit provided an opportunity to discover several of Polytech Lilleโs technological platforms, each of which reflects the schoolโs commitment to hands-on, research-driven engineering education. The delegation explored the Fablab, which supports rapid prototyping and creative engineering projects; the Smart Factory, which demonstrates advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies in an operational setting; and the Green Hydrogen production platform, a facility at the intersection of energy transition and applied research that is attracting growing interest from international partners.
These platforms offer a concrete illustration of what distinguishes Polytech Lilleโs educational environment: the proximity between pedagogical activity and genuine technological infrastructure, which enables students and researchers alike to engage with problems of real industrial and societal relevance.
NDHU, established in Hualien and recognized for its research strengths across engineering, science, and the humanities, is a significant academic institution in Taiwanโs higher education landscape. This visit constitutes a meaningful step in exploring the mutual interests that may form the basis of a lasting partnership between our two institutions.
Sincere thanks go to Fabien, Madhi, and Margaux from Polytech Lille for their availability and generosity in presenting the platforms with such depth and enthusiasm. Thanks are equally due to Arielle and Stรฉphane from the University of Lille, whose organizational efforts made this visit possible in the first place.
