🚀 Join the Defrost Team as an Engineer in Biomechanical Simulation

The Defrost team at the Inria University of Lille Centre is seeking an Engineer — Optimization of Parameters for Interactive Numerical Simulation (F/M).

The position is embedded within the European IRE — Intelligent Robotic Endoscopes for Improved Healthcare Services project. The successful candidate will develop a biomechanical model of the colon and its digital twin using the SOFA platform, with particular emphasis on optimizing parameters against real experimental data — enabling real-time, high-fidelity simulations for medical robotics applications.

Key Requirements:

• Advanced C++ skills
• Python for simulation scene configuration
• Knowledge of deformable mechanics, soft tissue modeling, FEM, and numerical solvers
• 3-5 years experience; PhD a plus
