The IRE β€” Intelligent Robotic Endoscopes for Improved Healthcare Services consortium convened in Copenhagen on April 16 and 17 for its latest grant assembly β€” a meeting that provided a clear indication of how far this project has progressed and how cohesive the consortium has become.

The programme was substantive: scientific talks and progress updates from each partner were followed by workshop sessions aimed at aligning on next steps, with ample opportunity for direct exchange between participants. These in-person gatherings remain irreplaceable as occasions for conversations that distributed collaboration cannot replicate.

Copenhagen provided a fitting setting for the event, with favorable spring conditions and a sweeping panoramic view of the city from the top of the Maersk Tower.

Thank you to Thomas, Olga and Kenny for hosting a well-organized and productive assembly, and to all IRE partners for the consistent energy and commitment they bring to each gathering.
